I am a part-time PhD student at the Institute of Education, University of London. My research in the Philosophy of Education focuses on the Celebration of Uncertainty as an essential element of democratic education and draws upon theories of radical and emancipatory education and pedagogies for civil society.

In this I try to link the concept of Uncertainty to Democratic Education. Whilst much is made of risk these days, much less attention is paid to Uncertainty. Following Knight (1921) I take uncertainty to be essentially unmeasurable in character, and, therefore, much more to do with the qualitative aspects of life.
